The Hanford West "Junior Optimist Octagon Club" is in its second year of existance and is doing well. The
club was formed by Mr. Ruben Amavisca and Mr. Greg Henry to give the Students of Hanford West an opportunity to get involved
in volunteering for our community and the youth of Hanford. We do so by raising money for the American Cancer Society,
Childhood Cancer Campaign, March of Dimes and the Salvation Army. We were also able to award three of our graduating
members $100.00 scholarships.
The HW Octagon club is sponsored by the Hanford Sunrise Optimist club, a member of the Optimist International family.
